A glimpse of the future

News

Mayr Antriebstechnik is expanding and extending its company complex at its Mauerstetten headquarters. The new communication centre "mayr.com” is under construction as well as a new production and assembly hall. Mayr Antriebstechnik is thereby securing and reinforcing its location in the Allgäu district for the long term.

The well-established family company Mayr Antriebstechnik signalled the start of the construction for two important buildings at its headquarters in Mauerstetten with a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony in March. A modern, architecturally sophisticated round building complex – "mayr.com” – is being created on a plot in the immediate vicinity to the west of the existing administrative building on Bahnhofsstraße.

Apart from additional office space, the building boasts an ample reception and conference area on a total area of about 3,500 m2 and it will be the impressive new company centre for communication, customer care and training and further education. Conferences, seminars and cultural events are to take place there in future. The architectural firm Hirner and Riehl from Munich, which won the architectural competition staged in 2014, is responsible for the implementation.

New hall ready for occupation 2017

HandwerkMayr Antriebstechnik is in addition building a modern production and assembly hall to the north of the existing company complex. Construction is to have been completed by the autumn to enable the interior finishing to occur during winter. The new hall will be ready for occupation about mid-2017.

The hall will be 105 m long and 45 m wide and as a result provide a floor area of about 4,500 m2. In future, the new hall will have a warehouse close to new assembly facility and the despatch centre. The architectural firm Traut from Marktoberdorf is in charge of the planning and realisation.

Ready for the future

"Hence with the new structures we are facing up to the constantly growing challenges and equipping ourselves for the future,” explained company boss Fritz Mayr. "Reinforcing and securing the Mauerstetten location in the long term is a particular concern of mine.” The company has firmly been rooted in the region since its foundation in 1897.

But apart from its deep attachment to the Allgäu, Mayr Antriebstechnik is today also a company with worldwide operations, with over 1,000 employees in total. With factories in Poland and China, numerous distribution branches and national agencies around the world, Mayr Antriebstechnik is active on the spot in every important industrial region in the world.
